CONTRACT SPECIALIST, 609-485-6166. The FAA Technical Center intends to
issue a Purchase Order to procure the following services: Five
sessions of Team Building training to be held at the FAA Technical
Center, Atlantic City Intl Airport, NJ. Course length 3 days, time 8:30
to 4:00 on the following dates, Sep 12-14, 19-21, Oct 10-12, 24-26, Oct
31 to Nov 2. Twenty four employee to a course. Purpose of this training
is to provide the student with team skills essential to the improvement
process in total quality management. Students will learn group dynamics
and ways to encourage team performance. The course will address the
following: Describe and apply the elements of group dynamics and
development, Demonsrate group facilitation techniques, describe and
perform group member roles, practice techniques for sharing leadership
in groups, practice techniques for team building, marketing strategy
for teams. One session of Solving Problems and Conflict Resolution, 5
day course, time 8:30 to 4:00 on Oct 16-20, twenty four employee to a
course. Course will provide students with skills necessary in dealing
with solving problems and constructive feedback to focusing on
resolution. The students will learn how to identify and explain the
difference between constructive and destructive conflict, explain the
major sources of conflict in organizations, identify and demonstrate 5
conflict-handling skills, analyze and explain the dynamics of conflict
in situations where change is being introduced, use a creative approach
to problem solving, establish alternative solutions to problems. One
session of Leading Quality Workteams, four days, time 8:30 to 4:00, Nov
6-9, twenty four students. Purpose of this training is to provide team
leads the skills necessary to facilitate teams to become productive,
quality teams. Students will learn the duties and responsibilities of
quality improvement team leaders, how to assign team responsibilities,
facilitation skills for quality improvement, common errors and
pitfalls to avoid, the signs of dysfunctional team behavior, how to
apply the quality management process improvement methodology. For all
above courses the instructor will provide training materials for each
student. All inquiries should be directed in writing to this office
within 15 days from publication date of this synopsis. Telephone
