Presolicitation Notice - Addition/Alteration to the Operations and Training Facility. Work involves construction of a new 8,000 SF addition for the Communications Group, and the renovation of 16,200 SF of the existing building. The project includes office, conference rooms, classrooms, storage areas, a Class A Communications vault and Class B Secure Storage area, men's and women's latrines/showers/locker rooms, and open administrative areas for pre-wired work stations. The work will consist of general, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and site demolition to include asphalt road, parking lot, and concrete sidewalk. The work will require asbestos abatement of the floor tile, mastic and thermal insulation in the existing facility. The new construction consists of walls, doors, complete window replacement, built up roof, interior and exterior lighting, interior finishes and casework. Also included in the new construction is upgrade of the primary electric, upgrade/replacement of the HVAC system and duct work, new boiler, new wiring and communications, new fire detection and alarm systems, associated site work, and landscaping. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. This project is a Small Disadvantage Business Set-Aside. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more than $17 million average annual revenue for the previous three years.
