The details ofCATS II were first announced in the Commerce Business Daily on July 26, 1995 by the Naval Information Systems Management Center, Contracting Directorate (NISMC 02). A draft RFP with a request for industry input was released to the public via NISMC 02'selectronic bulletin board on July 28, 1995. In order to facilitate this input, the Navy is hosting a free VENDOR CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT, to be held at the Admiral Kidd Club, NTC, Building A3, San Diego, California, 92133-5000 in the Skyline Roomfrom Tuesday through Thursday, August 29 through 31, 1995. Prospective bidders are urged and expected to attend the conducted site tours and to satisfy themselves as to all general and local conditions that may affect the performance of the contract, to the extent such information is reasonablyobtainable.
