announcement for a vendor conference and site visit for the Navy's
Consolidated Area Telecommunications System (CATS II San Diego)
procurement of telecommunications maintenance and operational support.
The details ofCATS II were first announced in the Commerce Business
Daily on July 26, 1995 by the Naval Information Systems Management
Center, Contracting Directorate (NISMC 02). A draft RFP with a request
for industry input was released to the public via NISMC 02'selectronic
bulletin board on July 28, 1995. In order to facilitate this input, the
Navy is hosting a free VENDOR CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT, to be held at
the Admiral Kidd Club, NTC, Building A3, San Diego, California,
92133-5000 in the Skyline Roomfrom Tuesday through Thursday, August 29
through 31, 1995. The agenda is as follows: 29 August 1995, 0800-0900
Sign In, 0900-0910 Opening Remarks/Welcome, 0910-0930 Introductions,
0930-0945 NCTS SD Presentation of CATS II Contract, 0945-1000
NISMCContractual Overview, 1000-1100 Open Forum, 1100-1300 Break for
No-Host Lunch, 1300-1600 Site visit. 30 August 1995, 0830-1100 Site
Visit Naval Station 32nd Street, 1130-1300 Break for No-Host Lunch,
1300-1600 Site Visit Naval Hospital. 31 August1995, 0830-1100 Site
Visit CATO Building, 1100-1230 Break for No-Host Lunch, 1230-1530 Open
Forum, 1530-1600 Closing Remarks. Prospective bidders are urged and
expected to attend the conducted site tours and to satisfy themselves
as to all general and local conditions that may affect the performance
of the contract, to the extent such information is
reasonablyobtainable. Interested participants should transmit their

Lipinski) no later than August 23, 1995. Since seating is limited, we
also ask that each company limit attendees to a maximumof two (2)
