58 -- HEWLETT PACKARD UPGRADES FOR REWRITABLE/OPTICAL JUKE BOX SYSTEMS SOL ATD-124-SWW-95/1160 DUE 083195 POC Contact Susan W Watson, (205)544-6626 Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order for cartridge capacity upgrade of Hewlett Packard Model 60C Optical Disk Library to Model 100c with two each additional Optical Drives to also include onsite installation to Hewlett Packard Corporation. The materials required are avaliable from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of system will satisfy these requirements. The proposed contract action is for items for which CSC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/ capabilities(i.e. technical specifications, brochures, and price lists) in the areas of proprietary hardware and software. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determing whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the required information may be considered non-responsive to the synopsis. All communication regarding the solitication will be in writing by FAX; oral communications will not be accepted in response to this synopsis. A determination by CSC not to compete this proposed subcontract on a full and open competition basis, based upon the responses to this synopsis, is solely within the discretion of CSC.
