(hereinafter referred to as ``NTT Facilities'') with general referential information on similar products or technology prior to procurement of the intended product (mentioned below) by NTT Facilities. This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. This public notice is not intended to guarantee public notification of future procurement of the product. (1) Product name: Low Voltage Diesel Engine Generator with Self Examination Function for telecommunications power source (2) Estimated procurement quantity: approximately 80 sets/year (This quantity is the current estimation; however, it may change during public notification of procurement.) (3) Product description; The RFI product is installed in the telecommunications buildings. In case of commercial power failure, it is used as stand-by power source for the telecommunication power equipment such as thyristor rectifier, switched mode rectifier, and for incidental facilities of the building. It is used also as an emergency power supply system of fire fighting facilities.
