V -- AIR ATTACK FLIGHT SERVICE, FIXED WING SOL R5-95-28 DUE 111595 POC Contracting Officer, Caroline Atha, 415/705-2773 or Cookie Washington at 415-705-2878 The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region, intends to contract for five (5) contractor-owned, contractor operated, twin-engine, high-wing, fixed wing aircraft to be a platform for an Air Attack Supervisor conducting wildland fire reconnaissance and directing aerial fire suppression activities. Contractor shall provide: aircraft, pilot(s), and ground support. During the performance period, aircraft will be for the exclusive use of the Government. Aircraft will be based at Forest Service air attack bases at the following locations: Fox Field, Lancaster, CA; Chester Air Base, Chester, CA; Santa Barbara Airtanker Base, Santa Barbara, CA; Hemet Air Base, San Bernardino, CA; Fresno,Air Base, Fresno, CA. Performance period varies according to location. During performance period, aircraft are for the exclusive use of the Forest Service. Performance will be between the dates of May 1, 1996 to November 15, 1996. Firm, fixed price contract, with economic price adjustments, for one year, with four one-year options. Daily availability price and flight rate will be negotiated. Proposed contracts are 100% set aside for small business concerns, SIC 4522, 1500 employees.
