Y -- DESIGN/BUILD, ADAL BASE WATER SYSTEM, KIRTLAND AFB, NM SOL DACA47-95-R-0015 DUE 102395 POC Contract Specialist Theresa Armijo (505) 766-1076 (Site Code DACA47) Description of Work: This project consists of the design and construction of drilling and equipping three new water wells; constructing a 3.5 million gallon water storage reservoir; installing approximately 49,000 linear feet of new water transmission lines; replacing water system controls and telemetry with a SCADA system; installing new pressure regulating valves (PRV's) to change the existing distribution system pressure zones; and replacing fire hydrants. The project, except Well #13, is located on U.S. Government property, Kirtland AFB, NM. Well #13 is located on National Rental Car property. Utilities that may be needed to support the new water system or might need to be relocated will include water, electrical, communication lines, gas, sanitary sewer and storm sewer. Project does not include asbestos removal. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on 5 September 1995 with technical and cost proposals due 23 October 1995. The SIC Code is 1623. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The costs of plans and specifications is $40.00. This charge is nonrefundable.
