The Correctional Services Divsion of the Federal Bureau of Prisons has identified a need to establish a national contract for various types of ammunition. Delivery of the ammunition will be made to various BOP locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, on a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type basis. There will be a base year with four one year option periods. Estimates are as follows for each of the five years (base and four option periods): (1) Cartiridge, .308, .147 grain, FMJ/Ball: 80,000 rounds; (2) Cartridge, .147 grain, FMJ/Boat Tail: 80,000 rounds; (3) Cartridge, 12 Gauge, #4 Buckshot, 27 pellets, Spec C, High Brass Compression Formed STSH: 160,000 rounds; (4) Cartridge, 12 Gauge, #6 Shot Size, 1-1/8 oz of shot, 2-3/4'' length, 3 Dram equivalent: 160,000 rounds; (5) Cartridge, 12 Gauge, #7-1/2 Shot Size, 1-1/8 oz of shot, 2-3/4'' length, 3 Dram equivalent: 160,000 rounds; (6) Cartridge, 12 Gauge, #8 Shot Size, 1-1/8 oz of shot, 2-3/4 inch length, 3 Dram equivalent: 160,000 rounds; (7) Cartridge, 12 Gauge Rifled Slug, 1 oz weight: 40,000 rounds; (8) Cartridge, 9mm Luger, 115 grain JHP: 1,000,000 rounds; (9) Cartridge, 9mm Luger, 124 grain JHP: 1,000,000 rounds; (10) Cartridge, .223, 55 grain, FMJ: 1,500,000 rounds; (11) Cartridge, .223, 55 grain, Tracer: 80,000. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be issued on or about 09/05/95. Multiple awards may be made based upon the bids received in response to the solicitation. The anticipated due date for bids is on or about 10/05/95. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. Solicitation requests must be made in writing to include a telephone number and point of contact to the Contracting Officer listed in the notice. No collect calls will be accepted.
