59 -- ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT COMPONENTS POC Contact Point, Larry Smith, Contracts Admin., (516)282-5796 Brookhaven National Laboratory intends to solicit bids for Dipole Corrector Power Supplies (DCPS). The Dipole Corrector Power Supplies (DCPS) will be bipolar switching power supplies. Two types of DCPS will be required, one with -10 Volts to +10 Volts at -25 Amps to +25 Amps capability, and one with -20 Volts to +20 Volts at -50 Amps to +50 Amps capability. The prototypes (three of each kind) will be required by mid January 1996. The first production run (14 of the 50 Amp and 20 of the 25 Amp) will be required by the end of April 1996. The second production run (398 of the 50 Amp and 220 of the 25 Amp) could start mid October 1997 and must be completed by September 1998. Previous experience building switching power supplies with power outputs of 250 watts and 1 Kwatt which are low noise types like those used in telecommunications or computers is important. Documentation of this experience is requested and must be forwarded with a letter requesting a copy of the solicitation. Certification to ISO 9002 will not be necessary, however some equivalent QA program will be required. (0226)
