This synopsis is not in support of an existing solicitation. It is a sources sought synopsis for the purposes of locating additional firms that have products that meet the requirements of the United States of America (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) for supplying PRV Latex Agglutination test kits with an estimated yearly usage of 100 kits with 150 tests per kit and 96 kits with 750 tests per kits per year. The test kits must be designed for prompt on site detection of pseudorabies virus antibodies in swine serum. When a manufacturer is approved, licensed, and permitted by the USDA, APHIS, VS, it will be published in the Veterinary Biological Products Publication of Licensees and permitees. Veterinary diagnostics are considered veterinary biological products and subject to the provisions of the virus- Toxin Act administered by the Secretary of Agriculture. We are interested in companies that have the capability to provide and/or are interested in working with USDA to be capable of providing the PRV Latex agglutination test kits for future requirements.
