D -- STATE OF ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC AID DATA PROCESSING OPPORTUNITY The Illinois Department of Public Aid is issuing this request for proposals to procure analysis and design services to re-engineer and enhance the Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). The services of a consulting firm experienced in the field of large scale governmental or business data processing system development are solicited to upgrade a sophisticated health care payment and information system to directly support the day-to-day management of the Medicaid program. This enhanced system will provide the management information system support for the Mediplan Plus managed care program, and in integrated system infrastructure to support future intiatives. The system must comply with Federal requirements and must be accomplished without interruption in the ongoing usage of the current system. This request does not solicit services for programming, system construction, ongoing operation and maintenance of the system or procurement of computer hardware.
