F -- WATERSHED IMPROVEMENT NEEDS INVENTORY SOL SOL R6-9-95-37 DUE 090495 POC Acquisition Clerk 206/956-2474 Project consists of furnishing all supplies, materials, labor, supervision, and transportation required to complete a Watershed Improvement Needs Inventory on the Hood Canal, Quinault and Soleduck Ranger Districts of the Olympic National Forest. Project includes aerial photo interpretation, field reconnaissance and organization of information. Identify and evaluate existing and potential erosion sites. Information gathered in this inventory is used to continue restoration efforts on the Olympic National Forest. The Contractor, or personnel performing this work, must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Soil Science, Geology, Hydrology, or a closely related field, and be proficient in the skills of aerial photo interpretation and computer science. The Contractor must also have at least 2 years experience working in similar terrain and be familiar with the type of existing and potential erosion problems associated with timber harvest, road building, and fire management practices. Resume(s), or other evidence of these qualifications, shall be provided with the firm's offer. Estimated start work date is September 15, 1995. Estimated contract time is 365 calendar days.
