Ponce, Contracting Officer, (505) 784-2888 This contract action for Replace Intrusion Detection System, Project No. 94-0086 at Cannon AFB, New Mexico for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within 15 calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This project includes replacement of the existing Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in 16 general base facilities and tie into the existing Advanced Data Technology (ADT) CentraScan 600 IDS at Cannon AFB, NM. Work also includes providing keypads, control panels, and writing required to tie the existing sensors into the ADT system. Replace sensors only if noted on drawings. All equipment must be compatible with the existing ADT CentraScan 600. All programming of the CentraScan 600 must be provided to add the new facilities. This project also includes providing cabling and programming to setup an existing printer and the CentraScan 600 computer to track openings and closings of each site monitored by name and print the information to the printer.
