Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials (except Government furnished materials), and supervision to Repair HVAC's and Correct Fire Safety Deficiencies in Bldg. 1305. All work is to be performed at McChord AFB, WA. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Demolish the existing HVAC system; 2) Provide new complete HVAC system; 3) Provide new complete electronic control system; 4) Provide temporary heat during cold weather; 5) New suspended ceiling; 6) Repair to support modifications, including patching, painting, caulking, and sealing; 7) New fire detection system. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation will be issued on or about 14 August 95 with a bid opening date of on or about 13 September 95. This proposed solicitation is being considered for a 100% set aside for Small and Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but not later than ten (10) days from this notice, indicate evidence of capability to perform and a positive statement of eligibility as a SDB concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued under full and open competition procedures without further notice. There is a $48.00 non-refundable charge for each bid set. Payment in the form of a company check, certified cashier's check, or U.S. Postal Money Order made payable to the ``Department of the Air Force'' must accompany each request.
