22217-5660 A -- WORKSHOP FOR COMMERCIALIZATION OF THE LASERNET OPTICAL OIL DEBRIS
MONITOR POC Point of contact: P. Schmidt, ONR 331 (703) 696-4362. The
Office of Naval Research and the Naval Research Laboratory wish to
introduce to the industrial community a new technology for optical oil
debris monitoring, the LASERNET. The monitor uses laser illumination
and electronic image processing to identify wear debris particles in
lubricating systems in the range 5 micrometers and larger. ONR and NRL
will therefore conduct a workshop September 6, 1995 at AMS, Arlington,
VA to provide technical information about the wear debris monitor and
to encourage industrial interest. Further technical details are
available from J. Reintjes. Attendees will travel to the workshop at
their own expense. Interested parties should contact P. Schmidt ((703)
