A -- METAL MATRIX COMPOSITE MODEL FACTORY PROGRAM SOL MDA972-90-C-0018 POC Alan Frederick, Contracting Officer, ARPA/CMO, Fax (703)696-2208. The Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) intends to award, sole-source, an add-on to Contract MDA972-90-C-0018 with 3M of St. Paul, MN, for an expansion of 3M's current efforts in the area of metal matrix composite technology. Specifically, 3M will focus its metal matrix composite processing technology on two products, titanium matrix composites and aluminum matrix composites, and demonstrate cost-effective product insertions in selected military and commercial products. This add-on will constitute the final effort under this Contract, and it will complete this specific Congressional Interest Program.
