Title and number of pages of the notified document: Annex 15 to the Regulation Concerning an Economical and Rational Energy Use. 6. Description of content: In order to increase the energy efficiency of ventilators with electric motors, target values Z in percentage are applied as follows: the values are indicated for the overall efficiency at best point: best point = operation level with the maximum efficiency of the ventilator including the electric motor. Vopt is the rate of flow in cubic metres per hour. Target values are not equal to standards. They indicate the efficiency that should be reached by the end of 1999. Target values do not restrict the trade of machines sold within Switzerland. Efficiency target value Z. Z = -1,0556, 10-6Vopt2 + 0,0137, Vopt + 17(%). 7. Objective and rationale: Economical and rational use of energy. Target values are an essential part of the Swiss Programme ``Energy 2000'' which aims, inter alia, at a stabilization of the electric energy consumption by the year 2000. 8. Relevant documents: The efficiency is measured according to the standards shown in Appendix 15, item 6. 9. Proposed date of adoption and entry into force: 1 November 1995. 10.
