seeks imformation about office equipment repair services. The equipment
to be serviced is comprised of a combination of various makes and
models of electric and electronic typewriters, desktop and hand-held
dictation machines and electro-mechanical time stamp devices. All
repairs shall be performed in offices located within the Washington,
D.C. metropolitan area. Responses to repair requests shall be less than
two days and repairs shall be limited to that which is immediately
neccessary to restore the device to full operational capability. The
specific categories of office equipment and their estimated numbers of
repairs per year are: ELECTRIC TYPEWRITERS: IBM Selectric Models II
and III/420 repairs, ELECTRONIC TYPEWRITERS: IBM Wheelwriters, Xerox
Memorywriters, Swintec/300 repairs, DICTATION EQUIPMENT: Dictaphone,
Lanier/150 repairs, Time Stamp Equipment: Simplex/140 repairs. Repair
vendors shall possess or be capable of obtaining and FBI security
clearance for all repair personnel. SIC codes 7629 and 7699. NO
SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. All interested parties shall submit a
written response, which shall include at a minimum, 1) technical
imformation on the proposed office equipment and repair services 2)
provide estimated pricing and supporting cost data that is sufficient
to make a reasonable determination that competition is feasible.
