Quotes for alternate products must be accompaniedoff-line by required technical data to show equivalencyin form, fit and function per the provision ''conditionsfor evaluation and acceptance of offers for part numbered items (may 1992)-DLAR 52.17-9002'', along with a written quote based on the estimated annual demand quantity so potential dollar savings can beestablished. Acquisitions more than $2,500 but less than or equal to $50,000 will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures under a request for Standing quotes posted at DCSC per FAR 5.101. For acquisitions over $50,000 awards will be made without issuing a Solicitation (RFP), unless review of Standing quotes indicates that issuing an order under the BOA would not result in the lowest overall COST alternative to the Government. All Standing quotes from responsible sources will be fully considered before an order is placed against the BOA. This notice in NO way binds the Government to purchase any of the items listed herein. Electronic quotes can be input from any IBM compatible PC with MODEM (recommend minimum 9600 bps) and any communications software package, or from terminals provided in the business counseling Center at DCSC, Bldg 12, section 1.
