59 -- AMPLIFIERS POC Elliott Gilmore, Contracting Officer, 202-205-8413, Fax: 202-205-5466 The United States Information Agency's Bureau of Broadcasting, Voice of America (VOA), intends to procure eleven (11), off-the-shelf, broadband, High Frequency, solid-state, 500 watt CW amplifiers to be installed in a Hughes HC-114 HF Transmitter at the VOA's Relay Station in Tinang, Philippines. Type of contract is combination Sealed Bid and negotiation (bidder recommended modifications or options to Govt. specifications are allowed). Solicitation No. will be: IA2102-S5234603. Technical and Cost Proposal due date: September 25, 1995. Within ninety (90) calendar days after contract award, the Contractor shall ship, via airfreight, one (1) broadband amplifier and impedance matching unit to the Government, FOB VOA Philippines Relay Station, Tinang Transmitter Site, for first article testing. The Government will install the amplifier and the impedance matching unit, and test it for one hundred and twenty (120) days. The remaining ten (10) amplifiers and matching units shall be sent to Tinang, Philippines within ninety (90) days after the Government's approval of the first article testing. The Contractor shall provide copies of the amplifiers measured data, the installation drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, a recommended spare parts list, and acceptance test plans for each amplfier delivered. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.
