Brooks AFB TX, Operational Contracting intents to negotiate with Carl Zeiss, Inc., One Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594 on a sole source basis: Only one responsible source can meet the agency's requirement. Requirement is for 1 ea. Carl Zeiss, Inc. LSM 410 System Scanner Module Laser, P/N 4925009983100, to include 2 ea. of the following: Operator's manuals, Parts lists, Schematic drawings. Scanner must be able to scan 512X512 in 500 milliseconds at a rate of 1400 lines per second. Scanner must have full rotation of scanning and the capability for scanning with multiple lasers. Interested parties must identify their interest and capabilities (to include all literature, catalogs, brochures, pricing and etc.) A determination by the government not to compete this proposed order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
