R -- PROVIDE ENGINEER TECHNICIAN, LOGISTICS, ELECTRO OPTICAL (EO) BENCH TECHNICIANS, AND MECHNICAL ENGINEERS TO SUPPORT THE AH-64 APACHE HELICOPTER TARGET ACQUISITION SYSTEM (TADS. SOL DAKF23-95-R-0228 DUE 100695 POC Contract Specialist Learah Smith (502) 798-7822/Gertrude A. Colbert (502) 798-7566 (Site Code DAKF23) Proposed sole source award to Lockhead Martin, to provide a Site Supervisor, Engineer Technician, Logistics Technician, Electro Optical (EO) Bench Technician, and a Mechanical Engineer to support (approximately 72) AH-64 Apache Helicpoters Target Acquisition Designation System (TADS) Pilot Night Vision Sensor (PNVS) Subsystem. Additional support shall be provided to Kentucky Army Reserve, Fort Knox, Kentucky (approximately 24 TADS/PNVS) Subsystems. Period of performance is for a twelve (12) month base period with four (4) twelve month option periods. The following are considered the minimal essential requirement. The contractor shall be available on a 24-hour a day, seven-days a week, to meet rountine training and emergency requirements, and shall ensure equipment manufacturer support at all times. The contractor shall be required to troubleshoot TADS?PNVS on AH-64 aircrafts and Line Repair Units (LRU) components, inspect AH-64 TADS/PNVS system for serviceability, review maintenance procedures for accurracy and determine if change are required, participate in aerial flight as non- crew member, provide semi-formal or formal training to soldiers and Government personnel on application and use of the AH-64 TADS/PNVS Systems peculiar hand tools, special tools and equipment, to include Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Provide on the spot, hand-on training as the technician inspect aircraft or components. Provide assistance in the assessement of damages and crash damaged AH-64 TADS/PNVS LRu's for the purpose of establishing the extent of the damage and assist in formulating estimaes on repair costs. Provide logistic support, configuration control and data collection. Maintain online data link for updated retrofit status of all LRU's including configuration and CONUS- wide LRU source availability. Provide TADS/PNVS LRU configuration, reporting and maintain statistical database, with ongoing maintenance activiation, and provide logistic technician support for Repairable(0228)
