R -- PREQUALIFICATION FOR TRAFFIC & SAFETY SERVICES The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking vendors to apply for prequalification in the following service classifications. Prequalification is no guarantee of contracting, but will establish a list of qualified vendors to be contacted when a contract is developed. Contracting for Traffic & Safety Services involves use of USDOT funds. SERVICE CLASSIFICATIONS: Pavement Marking.Traffic Signing Plans. Traffic Signal Systems. Maintaining Traffic Plans. Intelligent Transportation Systems. Traffic Operations and/or Safety Studies. Individuals and firms are invited to apply for prequalification by submitting a Service Prequalification Application - obtained BY WRITING to: Michigan Department of Transportation, Financial Services Division, Agreements Section - Service Prequalification, P.O. Box 30050, Lansing, MI 48909. Applications will be reviewed and scored by evaluation teams on the technical information submitted and by MDOT's Office of Equal Opportunity for compliance with Federal Title VI requirements. As applicable, an evaluation will be performed on financial information as outlined in the package. Following these evaluations notification will be sent as to the status - prequalified or denied.
