No collect calls will be accepted 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB, DC, intends to solicit and negotiate a contract (Firm-Fixed Price) with Digi Rom for the purpose of converting music on 400 old analog tapes used by the USAF Band to Digital Audio Tape (DAT). All material and equipment used will become property of the USAF Band and the USAF upon completion. Any source responding to this synopsis must meet the following criteria: (a) Five (5) years experience in Archiving Old Analog Tapes, (b) Certified Mastering Enigineers in Archiving, (c) Experience in restoring analog tapes dated back to the 1950's, 60's, and 70's, (d) have at least five (5) years experience as a Digital Retrieval Systems Specialist, (e), Provide materials and supplies of the trade to include; Archival Society of Motion Pictures Technicians and Engineers (SMPTE) time code, SMPTE data processing, Cedar Noise Reduction Processing (CDR), special ''baking'' ovens, audio computers for sonically enhancing the original recording sessions, and the like.
