65 -- REAGENTS FOR ABBOTT AXSYM SYSTEM SOL 648-77-95 DUE 092295 POC Contact Point, Linda McMillan, (503)220-8262x5089 This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Abbott Labs, Abbott Park, IL for the purchase of reagents, controls and consumables for the Abbott AXSYM System Lab instrument for the period of Oct. 1, 1995 through Sept. 30, 1996 for the V.A. Medical Center, 3710 S.W. US Veterans Hospital Rd, Portland, OR. The medical center intends to negotiate with Abbott Labs as the only source that can provide the aforementioned reagents. This notice is ''not'' a request for competitive proposals. Responses shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirements. Contractor will provide to the medical center the AXSYM System instrument, including maintenance, service, and technical support, training and inservice training for a ''nominal'' usage fee. This instrument is a random continuous access barcode, bidirectional analyzer used for the measurement of tumor markers, analysis of therapeutic drug levels, and screening for drugs of abuse in urine. Features include: on board reagent stability, calibration stability guaranteed for a 30 day period, and no requirements for additional plumbing. Tests to be performed include, but are not limited to, CK-MB, Ferritin, Digoxin, Theophyline, Gentamicin, Tobramycin, Phenytoin, Carbamezapine, phenobarbital, Valproic Acid, Vancomycin, Quinidine, Acetylprocainamide, Procain, Amide, PSA, CEA, Benzodiazepine, Cocaine Amphetamines, THC, Opiates, Barbiturates, B-12, Folate, Glycoitemuglobin, BhCG.
