UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMMISSION CERTIFIES FACNET CONTRACTING OFFICE. As required by P.L. 103-355 and the implementing Federal Acquisition Regulations, the Senior Procurement Executive of the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), certified interim FACNET capability on August 3, 1995 for the USITC's Procurement Division (PRD). The Procurement Division at the USITC meets the requirement of the law and the Federal Acquisition Regulation by having the ability to electronically provide wide-spread public notice of contracting opportunities, including public access, issue electronic solicitations and make them publicly accessible, and receive electronic public responses (quotes) and associated Requests for Information (RFI). The PRD is operating through the Federal Acquisition Computer Network (FACNET) entry point at Columbus, Ohio, and providing electronic commerce traffic to all participating Value-Added Networks and their client trading partners. Unless otherwise authorized by the Contracting Officer (CO), the PRD will not accept non-FACNET quotes on FACNET Request for Quotations (RFQ) after Monday, August 21, 1995.
