19 -- ENHANCED MARITIME PREPOSITIONING FORCE (MPF(E)) SHIP SOL N00024-96-R-2200 POC Christopher Sherman, SEA 02225, (703) 602-3102. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to place multiple contracts for the engineering design of Enhanced Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF(E)) Ships(s). The contract(s) will include options for the detail design, conversion and delivery of up to three (3) MPF(E) ship(s), and the operation and maintenance of up to three (3) MPF(E) ship(s) for a five (5) year period. Deliverables under the contracts(s) will include the engineering design, and technical and price proposals for the options referenced herein. A draft solicitation was released for comment on 18 August 1995. The draft solicitation will be released on the ''INTERNET Server''. Offerors can access this server through a FTP session. The host address is FTP.NAVSEA.NAVY.MIL. Their login ID will be Contract and they should use Contract as the password. Once logged in, they will automatically be in the file area PUB/CONTRACTS. They should then be able to spot the appropriate solicitation number and download the files in this subdirectory. Offerors are invited to submit any comments on the draft solicitation, ORD, and COR. It is the Government's intent to conduct a Bidders Conference on 8 September 1995 at NAVSEA, Arlington, VA.
