Destn: Mc Clellan Air Force Base Ca 95652-1326. Item 0002 17. This is a market survey (Ref. MS95228-01) under the Competition in Contracting Act, effective 1 April 1985. This is not an RFP or IFB. Be advised that this is used for planning or information gathering purposes only. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the information which you provide. The following descriptions are offered as a basis in which to formulate a reply to this notice. The Sacramento Air Logistics Center (SM-ALC) is seeking to identify sources of supply that can provide Global Positioning System Monitor Station dual-channel receiver (NSN: 5820-01-253-8040GO; P/N: 200- 104400-01). The receiver chassis performs the main function of the Monitor Station Receiver Element (MSRE). The receiver chassis demodulates the separate L1 and L2 intermediate frequency signals from the down-converter chassis. It identifies, acquires, and tracks the satellite signals. It decodes navigational D messages from the signals and computes the psuedorange (PR) and the accumulated delta range (ADR) measurements. The output signal of the receiver is the estimate of the PR and ADR ranges, status information, and navigational data messages. Each dual-channel receiver chassis contains two receiver channel circuits that share a power supply and motherboard. The receiver contains a total of 20 circuit cards: 4 Demodulator Processor Units (2 per channel); 4 Dual Numerically controlled Oscillator cards (2 per channel); 2 Signal Splitters cards; 2 Correlator cards; 2 General Purpose cards; 2 Memory Interface cards; 2 Coder #1 cards; 2 coder #2 cards. Responses should include information on related items previously manufactured. SM-ALC is interested in system integrators and suppliers, but not offers for R&D or consultants. This is not a request for proposal and the government will not make any reimbursement for any costs associated with providing the requested information. No solicitation package will be provided. Classified responses will not be accepted. Any submissions must be received not later than 30 September 1995.
