Wissman, Contracting Officer, 703/875-6059 The U.S. Department of State intends on awarding a sole source contract to Reed Technology and Information Services, Inc. for the extension of its OPTI-WARE Production Software license. OPTI-WARE Production Software is a proprietary CD-ROM database load and indexing software developed at private expense. The software will be utilized to update the Department's InfoExpress data bases in the format used with the OPTI-WARE search and retrieval software licensed by the Department for the InfoExpress MS-DOS CD-ROM titles. The acquisition will convert the previously purchased Limited Production License to a Perpetual License for utilizing the OPTI-WARE Production Software for the ongoing production of the InfoExpress MS-DOS CD-ROM titles. Supplemental production services will also be acquired for a period of six months after contract award. The OPTI-WARE Production Software will be provided in object code form with Government restricted rights. See Numbered Note 22. (0230)
