Location: Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL 61299-5000. The work to be performed includes the following features but not limited to these: Civil principal features: Sawcut asphalt and concrete pavements where and as required. Demolish and remove asphalt and concrete pavements where and asrequired. Excavate and remove soil. Install plastic gas pipeline by directional boring with valves, regulators, meters, etc. Backfill with compacted Sand, roadway base, or topsoil. Replace asphalt and concrete pavements. Reestablish turf. Mechanical principalfeatures: Install steel gas piping from regulator to furnaces/ boiler. Convert furnaces and boilers from propane or Burner oil to natural gas. The general outline of the principal features does not in any way limit the responsibilities of the contractor to perform the work under this contract. Estimated magnitude between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Type of KT: Firm-fixed price construction. Performance period is 75 days after receipt of notice to proceed. Approximate issue date is 06 Sep 95 with opening date 7 days fromissue. See NOTE: 22. The work is highly specialized. Directional boring is required. The fusion welders must be certified to work on natural gas piping in accordance with 49CFR 192.
