and supervision necessary to perform and complete project no. 527-074
entitled ''Upgrade Wards 12E/12W'' at the DVA Medical Center, 800 Poly
Place, Brooklyn, New York as required by drawings and specifications.
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to: 1) Demolition of
existing partitions, VCT floor, ceilings, HVAC, Electrical and
Plumbing. 2) Provide new partitions, floors, HVAC, Plumbing and
Electrical as required by the specifications and drawings. 3) Remove
asbestos containing plaster ceilings and pipe insulations. Phasing is
involved for asbestos removal. 4) Provide all testing required by the
specifications. 5) All work to be done in complete compliance with
drawings & specifications. 6) Work to begin within ten (10) Calendar
Days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Standard Industrial
Classification Code is 1542, General Contractors - Non Residential
Buildings, Other than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses. Small
Business size standard is $17 million. Solicitation to issue O/A
9/11/95. Bid Opening is O/A 10/10/95. Construction cost estimate range
is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bids will be accepted only from
contractors whose servicing office(s) are located within a Ninety (90)
mile radius of the DVA Medical Center at time of bid opening.
Completion time for project is 240 Calendar Days. All requests for bid
