12 -- FIRE ALARM ANNUNCIATION SYSTEM POC POC: Vicki Montgomery, 601-634-2421 The USAE Waterways Experiment Station (WES) intends to replace the existing fire alarm annunciation equipment with a multiplexed system at Waterways Experiment Station, Vicksburg, Mississippi. The existing system consists of 21 dedicated phone lines from individual fire alarm and intrusion detection control panels located throughout WES to the central phone switch in Building 1073. Annunciation equipment for the system is located in Building 1002 and in Building 3288. Each of these locations is connected to Building 1073 by 21 phone lines. The annunciation equipment consists of Modularm No. 130 annunciation panels for fire alarm systems, and JSIDS annunciation panels for intrusion detection systems. The new system shall reduce the number of required phone lines from Building 1073 to each of the monitoring points to a single phone line. The new system shall also be capable of multiplexing the existing JSIDS intrusion detection system signals from seven sites to the JSIDS annunciation panels.
