The Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL, Inc.) requires a 2KW minimum continuous wave Fiber Optic Laser Welding (FOLW) system which is also capable of cutting metals and ceramics. The power supply shall be solid state with Nd: YAG lasing media. (Higher powered FOLW systems are desirable). KAPL is only interested in procuring a commercially available system and will not consider prototype units.
