227-1159. Sole Source procurement to Physics, Mathematics, and
Computers, Inc. (PMC), Inc., Socorro, NM for computer and engineering
support services to maintain and enhance programming and documentations
of the Ship Vulnerability Model Interface Program (SVMIP). The SVMIP is
over 400,000 lines of the following five computer languages: C, X11,
Motif, UMIX script, and PV-Wave script originally developed by PMC for
the Government that also involves these four technical skill areas:
X11 and Motif based GUIs, CAD, computational geometry, and
vulnerability assessment technology. Familiarity with all existing code
is required, in addition to knowledge and experience in all listed
computer languages and technologies. Technical support is required to
provide an interface program of this magnitude; over 400,000 lines of
code, using all five of the languages listed above, and involving all
four technical skill areas listed above. The services performed will
include, but are not limited to: fixing bugs, enhancing existing
capabilities, and documentation enhancements. The support task areas
are: (1) SVIP Upgrades and Maintenance (2) SVM Environment Extensions
and Modifications and (3) Weapons Effects Applications Modules. The
period of performance will be for a total of four years. It is
estimated to require approximately 14,152 manhours of effort over the
entire four year period of performance. It is estimated that the RFP
will be issued o/a 15 Sept 95 with a closing date approximately 30 days
