The Air Combat Environment Test and Evaluation Facility (ACETEF) at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD 20670-5304, requires engineering and technical support services. This effort will consist of a base year plus four one year options, totaling a period of performance of five years. This requirement will be a full and open competition procurement. This pre-solicitation synopsis is a request for potential offerors to request copies of ''DRAFT'' Statement of Work and Personnel Qualifications and provide comment to this documents prior to issuance of the solicitation. Industry comments to these draft documents are encouraged. The ACETEF laboratory exploits simulation and stimulation technology to provide a testing enviroment that reproduces the conditions of actual combat. The subsequent services will provide continued development and operations support of ACETEF as well as development of ACETEF to serve as a Department of Defense distribution center in the National High Performance Computing infrastructure. All interested parties are hereby requested to submit a request to receive a copy of the draft statement of work and personnel qualifications within 30 days of the appearance of this notice in this publication.
