PRE-SOLICITATION: The project covered by this statement consists of furnishing all plant, supplies, equipment, materials, transportation and labor to construct a masonry vehicle maintenance complex with some steel structure in accordance with the plans and specifications. New work is approximately 10,000 SF. Project includes site work, concrete and bituminous pavements, utility work, as well as a partial suppression system. All work to be performed at Barnes Air National Guard Base, Westfield, Massachusetts. Performance period is for three hundred sixtyfive days after receipt of the Notice To Proceed. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This project is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. All interested firms including 8(a), SDB, ESB's and small businesses should notify this office this office, in writing, of their interest to bid the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than September 4, 1995. All written responses must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern under SIC Code 1541. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation shall be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
