Z -- REPLACEMENT OF ROOF SOL 020315-95-A-0044 due 090195. Point of Contact Gabriel Moreno, Procurement Specialist Facilities (907) 261-5428. The project consists of reroofing the existing General Mail Facility in Fairbanks Alaska. Contractor will provide all materials, labor and equipment for the removal, disposal and replacement of approximately 73,000 sq ft of built-up roofing. Included in this flat roof surface is insulation and vapor retarder, with associated metal copings, gravel stops and flashing. Construction cost is estimated to be between $750,000 to $900,000. Completion of construction is 300 calendar days. The construction will begin in the spring of 1996, this is the reason for the extended period of time for construction. The proposal must include the requested information identified in the solicitation package in order to review and determine the contractor's qualifications and responsibility. Criteria for qualification of general contractors will be based on, but not limited to: 1) A minimum of five years as a general contractor 2) Satisfactory completion on a minimum of three similar type projects valued at over $100,000 and 3) Ability to obtain bonding. Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value and a Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the contract value. The proposals received will be evaluated and awarded at the Denver Facilities Service Office.
