FISC NORFOLK Detachment, Washington, has a requirement for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Detachment to procure an electrically heated, automatically controlled walk-in oven designed and constructed to operate up to 500 degrees F. The equipment shall be one of the manufacturer's current production models which, on the date that the solicitation is issued, has been designed, engineered and sold, or is being offered for sale through advertisements or manufacturer's published catalogs or brochures. Products such as a prototype unit, preproduction model, or experimental unit do not qualify as meeting this requirement. The equipment shall consist of, but is not limited to the following described principal components, attachments and accessories necessary to meet the operational and performance requirements specified herein: steel construction comprised of an inner and outer shell of sheet steel panels separated by thermal insulation; two, horizonal swing type, by-parting doors located on the front side of the oven; heaters located in the air circulating system, separated from the work chamber; a programmable microprocessor with a minimum of ten ramp and soak intervals; SCR power controller; purge timer; excess temperature controller; automatic door switch; fire suppression system; fully insulated and reinforced oven floor to support a mandrel mounted on a rotisserie truck; rotisserie truck; variable speed mandrel rotating mechanism; horizontal air circulation; heat resistant and explosion proof lighting; penetration window; and solvent loading.
