This public notice is to request suppliers to provide NTT with general referential information on similar products or technology prior to procurement of the intended product (mentioned below) by NTT. This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. This public notice is not intended to guarantee public notification of procurement of the product. (1) Name: Photovoltaic module set (II) Overview: The product requested is a photovoltaic module set that generates electricity using sunlight as its energy source. It can be connected to a telecommunications power supply or to a general distribution network, and used as grid-connection for A.C. power supplies, or as a stand-along D.C. power supply. a) Operating conditions: ambient temperature -20 to 40 degrees C. b) Photovoltaic module sets should be designed to be installed outdoors, on the roof of a building or possibly at ground level. c) Photovoltaic module sets consist of a Photovoltaic module, current collector box, and array mounting kits. (III) Contents of RFI: NTT is inviting the following types of information on a product or technology similar to the above-mentioned system. Once information is offered, these are regarded as non secret one, and it is possible that this information is opened to the public in procurement or used by others. NTT is not responsible for controlling, opening and using of the information. It is requested that information for below-mentioned items (1) through (5) should be provided separately for each module capacity listed as well as for Photovoltaic module, current collector box, and array mounting kits. Photovoltaic module capacities: 10W-100W in units of 10W, 100W-1 kW in units of 100W, 1 kW-10kW in units of 1 kW, 10 kW-100kW in units of 10 kW, 100 kW-300 kW in units of 100 kW. (1) Technical information. a) Capacity series (Standard capacity series, Current collector box and array mounting kits configuration in such series). b) Electrical characteristics (Characteristics depending on value of solar radiation and temperature, characteristics after preservation, characteristics of age deterioration (factors determining), Average conversion efficiency of each series, and variation depending on product difference). c) Product life span. d) Ways to maximize efficiency of power extraction. e) Structure (cells, Photovoltaic module, current collector box, array mounting kits). Appearance, dimensions, weight, materials, flame resistance grade, terminal structure. f) Accessories. g) Electrical conditions (Insulation strength, Dielectric strength, Surge capability, etc.) h) Environmental conditions (Operational conditions and characteristics according to ambient temperature and humidity). i) Installation conditions (building rooftop, ground level, earthquake-proof metods, wind resistance methods). j) Method of installation for the preceding installation conditions. k) Catalogs and brochures, etc. (2) Price (Prices of the Photovoltaic modules, current collector boxes, and array mounting kits. (3) Standard time of delivery after ordering. (4) Sales records. (5) Others (Trouble-shooting support, Maintenance support, Technical support, Any other proposals). (IV) Request for Declaration of the Intention of Participating as a Subcontractor: Any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the product procurement program of NTT, are requested to supply NTT with the information listed below. After preparing a list of supplied information, NTT will provide the list to suppliers who wish to be provided with it, to those who have responded to the request for supply of the information listed and to those who have purchased the Procurement Documentation relating to procurement of the product. NTT, however, will undertake no responsibilities for any outcomes arising from supply of the list, (i) Name of supplier, (ii) Place of contact (Address, name of the person in charge, telephone number. and facsimile number).
