The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD proposes to procure, on a firm-fixed-price basis services to conduct structural analysis of the AN/APG-76 Multi-Mode Radar System to determine the feasibility for aircraft carrier suitability/use. The anticipated period of performance of this analysis is 45 days. The Government intends to negotiate this acquisition on a sole source basis with Westinghouse Norden Systems, 10 Norden Place, P.O. Box 5300, Norwalk, CT 06856-5300; under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements). Norden Systems is the sole manufacturer of this radar system, and holds proprietary configuration data and engineering drawings necessary to conduct this structural analysis.
