65 -- COMPUTER WORKSTATION FOR SPECT CAMERA SOL 689-75-95 DUE 091295 POC Contact Point, Mark Phillips, (203)937-3086 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, West Haven, CT intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Digital Scintagraphics, 222 Calvary Street, Waltham, MA 02154 for purchase of a computer workstation to operate Annular SPECT (single photon emission computer tomography) Camera. The workstation is to reconstruct images using filtered back projection, and perform image analysis. The workstation shall have the following configuration: collimator motor controller; delay-line clipping pulse-shaping for 63 photo-multiplier signals; flash analog to digital conversion circuits for each of the 63 photomultiplier signals; converters providing approximately 1.5 microsecond system dead time for fast dynamics; dedicated digital computational circuitry for real-time analysis of photomultiplier signals for subsequent position analysis; array processor comprised of Intel 1860 64 bit RISC microprocessor with 16 MB memory providing 50 MFlops peak computer performance. Processor is used for real time position analysis of signals from digital computation circuit and subsequent reconstruction and processing. Host computer comprising a 66 MHz 80486 computer system with 4 MB of memory, software for image reconstruction and analysis. The custom software to be supplied shall be capable of flexible movement of attenuation ellipse; uniform attenuation correction; analysis of serial, kinetic images; three dimensional reorientation of brain images; batch analysis of multiple regions of interest, coregistration of SPECT and MRI images using either surface-matching or a fiducial marker system.
