NASA/GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER INTENDS To ISSUE RFQ5-42407/907, ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS To ITE, INC., 711 GORMAN AVENUE, LAUREL, MD 20707, FOR THE ACQUISITION Of THE DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF THREE PORTABLE CONTAMINATION MONITORS. ITE Inc. was chosen for this requirement for their unique capability and expertise. ITE, Inc. is the only company that can provide the design and fabrication of these portable contamination monitors to meet the critical specifications involved with the operation of a variety of quartz crystal microbalances (qcm) which are used to measure the contamination levels in the vacuum chambers during critical tests. The acquisition is for 3 portable contamination monitors which should be light weight (maximum weight for each monitor shall be less than twenty pounds) enough to be carried by one person and stored in the overhead compartment or under a seat on a commercial airplane. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a technical narrative statement of their capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature, demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements within 15 days of the publication of this notice to the above address.
