The Department of Labor has a requirement for purchase, maintenance and support of current versions of Informix Relational Database Management System software, supportive of the Employment Standards Administration. This proprietary software is already installed on all ESA minicomputer systems, as a result of an earlier competitive procurement action. It is necessary at this time to upgrade the installed base of Informix products to the current versions as they become available. Products to be upgraded include INFORMIX 4GL, INFORMIX SQL, INFORMIX ESQL/C, AND INFORMIX-Star. A sole source contract with INFORMIX Corporation is anticipated on a firm-fixed price basis, for site licenses and support for up to 4000 users (2000 concurrent) nationwide.
