83415-3805 A -- SIMION 6.0 SOFTWARE Contact Mr. Steven Borror Lockheed Martin
Idaho Technologies (LMIT), a Management and Operatiang Contractor for
the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Idaho National Engineering
Laboratory (NEL), is seeking interested parties for a potential
licensing opportunity. LMIT has written and copyrighted a software
system known as Simion. Simion 6.0 is a pc-based, stand-alone software
system which allows the simulation of ion and electron trajectories in
electrostatic fields. Written in C, this program incorporates ``User
Programs'' which allows the user to model ion traps, quadrupoles, RF
tuned devices, time-of-flight components, collision cells and other
complex problems using an ion optics workbench that can hold up to
twenty-five 2D and/or 3D electrostatic/magnetic potential arrays. All
potential arrays are visualized as 3D objects that the user can cut
away to inspect ion trajectories and potential energy surfaces. LMIT is
soliciting a written indication of interest from private companies who
would consider licensing this mature product for commercial
distribution and support or end-use only. Potential Licensees should
send a description of their company, their business fit with the Simon
product, and any pertinent commercialization, distribution and product
support information to: Steven Borror, Technology Transfer Office,
