SLOVAK REPUBLIC: MINE DAMS, COMMON REQUIREMENTS The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/NOTIF. 95.228. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: Slovak Republic. Title and number of pages of the notified document: Draft of STN 446410 - Mine Dams. Common Requirements. 6. Description of content: This standard determines general principles for design and construction of anti-burst dams in mines which are exposed to water burst inflow, as well as explosion-resistant dams in gassy and coal mines. (Mandatory Articles: 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.1.4, 3.1.5, 3.1.6, 3.1.10, 3.1.11, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.3, 3.2.4, 3.2.5, 3.2.6, 3.2.7, 3.2.8, 3.2.9, 3.3, 3.3.1.2, 3.3.1.3, 3.3.1.4, 3.3.2, 3.3.3, 3.3.4, 3.3.5, 3.3.6, 3.3.7, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4. 7. Objective and rationale: During final approval, the Slovak Ministry of Economy, Department of the State Mine Administration, that is the non-omissible participant, expressed the requirement for promulgating selected Articles of the aforementioned Slovak standard (STN 446410) to be obligatory on the grounds of providing working and operational safety. Following this requirement the standard is submitted for notification. 8. Relevant documents: Slovak standards: STN 446410, STN 446411 and 446412 (mine anti-burst dams). Former branch standards: ON 446451, ON 446452, ON 448112, ON 448252, validity of which was abandoned due to the Act No. 142/91 zb.
