SHOCK AND VIBRATION SYMPOSIUM The Shock and Vibration Symposium, first held in 1947, is the oldest continuously-held meeting dealing specifically with the structural dynamic behavior of air, sea, space, and ground vehicles and structures. The Symposium was established as a mechanism for the exchange of information among Government activities, private industry, and academia on current work and new developments. Presentations on work in progress are encouraged. Separate sessions are held for presentation of classified or limited distribution material. The Naval Surface Warfare Center/White Oak has contracted the Shock and Vibration Information Analysis Center (SAVIAC) to operate this symposium. The 66th S&V Symposium will be hosted by the US Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (USAEWES) in Biloxi, Mississippi, at the Grand Casino Biloxi, 30-Oct through 3-Nov 1995. Program Committee members include representatives from DNA, FMC Corp, NAVSEA, NCCOSC/NRaD, NSWC/UERD, NSWC/White Oak, Redstone Technical Test Center, Sandia National Labs, US Army CECOM, USAEWES, White Sands Missile Range and Wright Lab. The opening program will include a welcome address by the senator from Mississippi, the Honorable Trent Lott (invited) with the keynote address delivered by Dr. Robert Whalin, director of WES.
