Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899. Lockheed Martin Space Operations
(LMSO), a NASA Prime Contractor at Kennedy Space Center, FL (KSC),
seeks sources capable of providing six stationary hydraulic pupm units,
dual system type, 3000 psi, 35 GPM, each system, to be used for ground
checkout and test of the space shuttle orbiter hydraulic systems prior
to launch. Each unit consists of a hydraulic reservior, parallel
operated main pumps, accumulator, main line filters, a deaeration
subsystem, oil cooler, flow and pressure controls and measurement and
instrument panel within a common sheet metal housing on a structural
steel skid. The work requires highly engineered systems tailored to
exacting requirements which will be specified in the drawings and
specifications to be provided with the formal solicitation. Respondents
must have experience in design, fabrication and testing of this type of
equipment. The contract resulting from the formal solicitation will
require completion within 18 months after award. This synopsis is for
the sole purpose of identifying prospective sources and does not commit
LMSO to make an award, nor to reimburse costs of submitting data.
