The Television-Audio Support Activity proposes to procure the following Datapoint Corporation products: one each Server, MINX 32 port multipoint cluster, ''Superhub 3200'', with NCP system, 32 X 32 crospoint switch (video), 32 X 32 Mix-minus mixer (audio), processor controlled routing of video and audio, port may be used as trunk connections to other cluster servers as needed, channel- to-channel crosstalk: less than 50DB, bandwith: DC to 7MHZ minimum at -3DB, Datapoint part number 2037; nine each video adapter, dual network, serves as network connection for MINX network interface, Datapoint part number 2033; dual workstation adapter, serves as the network connection for the MINX network interface, provides a coax trunk connection to a workstation adapter in a cluster server or superhub 3200, Datapoint part number 2036; one each expansion hub, 3200 subsystem, 32 port chassis for expansion of 3200 system, Datapoint part number 2032- 001; circuit card, dual video adapter, used to bring in outside video, Datapoint part number 2035-001. The Government anticipates negotiating and entering into a contract on a sole source basis with Datapoint Corporation, 7272 Wisconsin Aveune, Bethesda, Maryland 20814, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. A comprehensive market survey for this requirement was conducted by the Government and no additional manufacturers were identified that could provide equipment that will be compatible with the currently installed video teleconferencing system. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation package is estimated to be issued in September 1995.
