This proposed contract action is for supplies/services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. The Base Telephone Office of Camp Lejeune, NC has a requirement to upgrade the existing system which includes 4000 ft of fiber cable P/N 164D1534100-20, 2 ea fiber distribution center P/N FDC-001, 40 ea splice trays P/N M67-048, 16 ea module connector P/N FDC-CP16-42, 1 ea splice closure P/N SCN-063-03, 3 ea splice closure P/N SCN-063-02, 2 ea sizing ``8'' sleeves P/N SLV-SCN-B1, 8 ea sizing ``D'' sleeves P/N SLV-SCN-D1, 3 pg heat shrink splice protector P/N 2806031-01. The Government intends to award a contract to Siecor Corporation. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received must be compatible with existing equipment. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
