(509) 527-7215 (Site Code DACW68) The U.S. Army Engineer District,
Walla Walla, Washington, has a requirement for 15 water quality sensor
systems for the Environmental Resources Branch of the Walla Walla
District. Work includes all necessary labor, equipment, materials,
software, data cables, initial configuration, and parts to provide the
water quality sensor systems. Salient Characteristics are as follows:
1) Sensor must be housed in a probe configuaration that will operate
self-contained (without the aid of surface or human support) for 2
weeks or more and record data readings at least every 15 minutes; 2)
The sensor must withstand hydrostatic pressures at depths equal or
greater to 100 meters (300 feet); 3) The sensor must measure depth in
meters with a resolution of 0.1 meters and an accuracy of 2% of the
measurement; 4) The oxygen sensor must use a polargraphic electrode
that can be calibrated with two point reference and accurate to 0.2
mg/L of Dissolved Oxygen. The sensor must report Oxygen in mg/L and %
sat; 5) The pH electrode must measure pH to 0.1 point and demonstrate
calibration accuracy over three calibration pH points; 6) The
conductivity probe must measure in mS/cm and provide accuracy of 0.5%
of total measurement; 7) Temperature must read in Celsius and have an
accuracy no less than + or - 0.2 degrees Celsius; 8) Calibration and
general maintenance must be accomplished by a technician with minimal
experience in chemical and limnological methods; 9) Data must be able
to be downloaded from personal computers and in a format compatible
with windows based software; 10) Must have both RS232 and SDI-12
capability for use in both autonomus and in the telemetry network
system; 11) Probes should be easily replaced by the user or trained
technician and the probes protected by a weighted sensor guard; 12)
Probe size should not exceed 27 inches in length and 3.5 inches in
diameter. This solicitation is open to all businesses regardless of
size. Size standard for small business concerns under Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 3823 is 500 employees. All
